When To Take SAT?

I'm an international student in Beijing, China (resident of USA) and am having trouble deciding which SAT session to take. e.g. October. November. December? Any pointers?

Question Also: IF I decide to take it, and don't think I do well, I can cancel the score and it'd be like I didn't take it right?

Responses appreciated guys, Thanks.

Protege

You should take it in Oct. You can only cancel the score the day you take the test, not afterward. You have to let the proctors know before you leave the test site that you want to cancel the score.

Oohh.. interesing. But some counsellors have told me to just take it in December. Is it smarter to do that? Or should i take October, November AND December just to see?? and cancel if i feel insecure about score/performance?

Prep for it now and take it in October if you're ready for it. That way you have time to retake before apps are due if you don't hit your target score.

Thanks for the input. I'm actually a Junior though. So If i take it first semester, I have a lot of time to re-take it.
I can take it in
October 07
November 07
December 07
January 08
May 08
June 08
Oct 08

Bump. Bump :)

Any other opinions?? I need some time to think. I still have time. but not much to decide =/
