Friend's daughter is a college junior, planning to take a semester abroad before graduating. When is the best time for her to take the LSAT if she plans to go directly to law school after graduation? Can she take it multiple times (like the SAT?) if she isn't happy with initial results? Can she prep on her own (if she's abroad) or would a prep course really help? Thanks

On taking the LSAT multiple times, please search this forum for answers. This question has been discussed in much detail several times before. Generally, the answer is that most of the top law schools will average multiple LSAT scores and will expect for the applicant to disclose the reasons why they felt the need to take the LSAT more than once. That said, these same law schools need only report the highest LSAT score to LSAC.

Thanks, sallyawp, I did find some of the older posts/threads, all quite helpful. So now I am thinking that she should perhaps take a prep course next summer and plan to take the LSAT fall of her senior year? (wiht the possibility of taking it twice if she's not happy) but avoid taking it this year (junior year)?
