When will I find out the financial aid offer for Georgetown?

I am applying Early Action to Georgetown. If I get accepted, when will they give me my financial aid offer/information? Will it be included with the acceptance information or will it come weeks later?

Thank you.

If it’s early action, you do not have to commit to going to G’town until May 1. You might get your financial aid offer earlier than the RD kids, but you might now.

One thing you absolutely need to check is whether Georgetown has an early priority filing date for the CSS Profile for EA applicants. If they do, you want to make sure you don’t miss that date…AND you do the Profile with the best possible estimates for all of 2012.

Ask the admissions people at Georgetown!

Schools vary. At some, merit scholarships are automatic, based on grades/test scores, and may be announced in the same letter that tells you that you’ve been accepted.

Financial need assistance can’t be determined until after FAFSA or CSS profiles are completed and processed, so that doesn’t happen until some time in the spring.
