When will I get my UPITT admission decision?

I applied to Pitt through Common App on October 31st, and I just wanted to know how fast they are at making a decision? My GPA is a 3.99 weighted and my SAT super-score is a 1310. Do I have a good shot at getting in?

My D applied in early September and still hasn’t heard. Others have their decisions already. They say it can take 4-8 weeks on average.

It took about 3 weeks for me to get my decision.

Reading other posts, the turn-around time seems to be longer if you applied with Common App than if you used the Pitt App. At least, that was true if you applied in August or September, it might be more similar now.

It is no longer the case that the common application takes longer to process. The complications we experienced at the beginning of the cycle have been resolved.

There is one action that slows down processing no matter what application you use to apply: submitting a transcript instead of Pitt’s Self-Reported Academic Record. We accept transcripts, but we encourage students to submit the SRAR instead (or even submit it if they sent a transcript but want to speed up the process) simply because it will speed up your application process by a few weeks.

If you filled out or are filling out the Pitt application, the SRAR is embedded in the application. If you filled out or are filling out the Common or Coalition application, you can follow this link to fill out our SRAR: https://srar.selfreportedtranscript.com/Login.aspx?pt_ceeb=130D7ED4DBC44AC1
