<p>My zone came out yesterday, and I was accepted. I got a 29 on the ACT, and I have a 4.0. I mainly do Model United Nations and music. I’m adopted, and I wrote my essay about that.</p>

Stony Brook is my son’s first choice and the waiting is very hard. I know the first batch of decisions was released this week. When will the next batch go out?</p>

<p>My D applied in Nov. I am an alum and have several friends that are professors at SUNY. She is considering SUNY as one of her top choices. However, we are OOS. Are the OOS applicants handled in a separate pool and notified later than the NY residents?</p>

<p>Creating much stress in our house, twins, one accepted one still in progress. Of course the accepted one is also the one with the higher SAT so the other is panicking. Were minimizing the celebration for the acceptance until we know the decision on the other. Not fair to the accepted but its “twin life”.</p>
<p>Dad145, I hope your other twin gets in too! That would stink. Good luck. The wait is torture. My daughter is waiting too. Her first choice is Stony Brook next is Albany, she has been accepted to all her other schools she applied to except those two. Ugh!</p>
<p>The wait is excruciating. Stony Brook is my son’s first choice. He was accepted at Albany and Oneonta and deferred at Binghamton.</p>

<p>my d is also waiting anxiously to hear from Stony Brook, although she did get accepted to Binghamton 
SBU is her first choice of the SUNY’s. </p>
