I applied yesterday, and I am a competitive applicant. When will I hear back?

I would guess in around 6-8 weeks at the latest. If you are really competitive, then more than likely sooner.

I applied a week ago and heard back this morning. May have been due to I had all my transcripts, test scores, and FAFSA submitted before I submitted the application, so everything was already done.

I applied and heard back in 4 days and had all of my documents and credentials turned in prior to submitting my application. I wouldn’t expect it to take long for you if you’re a competitive applicant.

@College1235 did you get an email link to a portal or something? How did you find out?

@as1799 Yes I got an email saying my portal had been updated

My application was complete on Septemeber 22nd, and I took the inventory and got the “competitive applicant” status mid-October, how much longer do I have to wait, it feels like forever! Especially when people who applied a week ago are already accepted! I know they say 12 weeks but it’s already been week 5! What’s taking so long?!? So nerve wracking!!

@College1235 the portal says my transcript isn’t in yet but my school sent it. Does it take a while? And congrats on the acceptance!

@as1799 Thank you, and yes it may take time for State to receive the transcript and process it. This is all talked about in the confirmation email Portal should’ve sent you, they usually update you on the status of it

I got accepted. Only took two days after they received everything!
