When will I hear from UT Austin of my acceptence

I ranked 39/622, so I think I qualify for automatic admission to UT, and I submitted my application in August. When will I be notified of my acceptance?

Yes, since you are in the top 7%, you are automatically accepted. You should get a letter shortly. This letter only says that you are accepted to the UT but not to your major. You will get the decision for your major as early as November or as late as Feb. Most people hear back in Feb.

I assume that is only for in-state applicants… correct? Do they have a definitive policy for out-of-state applicants as to rank? gpa? test scores?

Auto admit is instate only. OOS are done holistically. Rank and test scores are big factors in that review.
