When will we be notified?

:( I literally took medicine to calm down but I am SOO nervous now.

Hahahahahahaha.... sleeping pills + vodka = dead... just putting it out there. DONT DRINK FOR ANOTHER 2 HRS!!! Idk why, I'm not happy, probably cuz finaid sucks

I GOT IN! Dean's Scholar too!! :)

^ But at least you know you made the CUT!!!! I'm about to cut my hair out!!!

i got into cgs around 4pst today. i'm excited! but not for sure going. visiting again next week, i think. whoo hoo. good luck everyone!

My niece just called. She's in at Theatre Arts. And with a stupendous FA award. WooHoo!! She loved it when she went for her interview. Just loved it. I'm so pleased for her. Good luck everybody!!

How do you know if you're a dean's scholar? I'm probably not... anyway, can I appeal the FA decision or would that be rude? I seriously cant afford it

Mine still doesn't have the financial aid package... when will they post it?

I hope so Desiking, they gave me a great package but I just need more because of the economy.

I just got waitlisted.

2100 sat's and 4.01 weighted GPA

This has made me very worried about how the rest of the applications are going to turn out.

Was anyone else who got the wait list decision told they were on a short list? This is my first choice of schools but even if I get in not sure if I will be able to go. The wait list decision also stated that there would be a limited amount of financial aid and they might not be able to meet my needs.

:( Rejected. Life sucks soooo bad...I dont know what to do anymore.

desiking, you can appeal your FA, not rude at all. It will probably help you actually, especially if you can show you're very serious about BU. Just make sure they know you're grateful for what you did get, but you still need more help.

chris2k5, don't worry! You'll get in somewhere great, I know it.

I was waitlisted and told I was on a short list. I don't know what to do. I want to go to BU SO BADLY, but I can't ask my parents to loose a $600 deposit when they're about to pay for college. That's insane.

I know losing the deposit sucks especially when you think that they also are going to cut the financial aid packages to wait listed students. I am pretty much resigned to not going to BU. My game plan now is to go to one of the colleges that accepted me, bust my ass for two years and transfer. BU was my last shot at a top drawer writing program. So I will take whatever core courses are required for an english major and hopefully the credits will transfer over.

It is a drag because I am going to be unsettled for the next two years.

This SUCKS SOOOO bad. :( I haven't left my room since I found out and BU is the ONLY school I applied to...

Choosing: QU, UVM, UB, UNH
So as of right now I have been accepted into: Quinnipiac University, University of Vermont, SUNY Buffalo, and University of New Hampshire.

Can you guys please help me decide which is best for me?

Quinnipiac: I am honest to god I love almost everything about the school except for the fact it will cost me $26,000 per year EVEN with Financial Aid! I just can't justify being in debt like that after I graduate.

University of Vermont: I haven't gotten my financial aid package yet but I estimate to pay like $7-9k per year which is reasonable. I haven't visited because I never fully considered the school. I researched more about the academics and the medical programs look nice!

SUNY Buffalo: Financial aid is not enough but I like the early assurance program.

University of New Hampshire: I don't like the campus. I don't like the programs. I don't like the location. I don't like New Hampshire. It is really a last resort ditch. I am assured a full ride basically though.

...dude quit complaining. we get it, you didn't get in and we all can empathize with you, i'm sure everyone didn't get into every college they applied to. No reason to start lying in search of sympathy. take it easy.

I am sorry but where was your guidance counselor. You only applied to one school???? OUCH

Chris2k5 - Troll post maybe?

Plus a variety of other posts that conflicts w/ your post above.

PS Opps I just noticed Vmogel's comments also.

I just realized that I received no merit aid because my CSS profile came 2 days late...

At least I got in, but those 2 days might mean I can't go :(
