When?

Oh and Emerson said they would SEND the letters April 1st, and that we were not to call on that day to find out the decision.

I remember last year BoCo SAID April 1 but they really ended up putting the decisions online before then -- maybe 2 weeks before? I can't quite remember.

Question---does the decision by the MT dept override the decision to admit by admissions, or vice versa, or ?

APOL, I think it depends on the school. In some cases, if you are rejected academically but rejected by the MT dept., you are not accepted, overall. (If I have this right, in those cases, you could attend the school for something else. Just not MT.) I have heard in other cases, if the MT or acting dept really wants you, they go to bat for you. But certainly, on this list and elsewhere we have heard of kids who are accepted to, say, Otterbein or Ithaca for academics but don't get in for MT. Some decide to matriculate at the college and study something else, and some don't.

Thanks for clarifying NotMamaRose

Am I the only one who feels like they haven't heard anything yet and the waiting is endless. Out of 10 auditions we've only heard from 2 schools: one acceptance and one rejection. It's March 6th and I would have thought we'd hear from at least one more school by now but we run to the mailbox and check the email (many times a day) and still the wait goes on. I hope we don't have to be this stressed out till April! Yikes this is hard!

shellipearl,

We've heard from 3 of ten. It's normal, but no less stressful!

For me (US) to hear from that (SCHOOL) of mine (OURS)

There must be some word today
From my (OUR) (SCHOOL) so far away
Pleas Mister Postman, look and see
If there's a letter, a letter for me (US)

I've (WE'VE) been standin' here waitin' Mister Postman
So patiently
For just a card, or just a letter
Sayin' he's (THEY'RE) returnin' home to me (US)

(Mister Postman)
Mister Postman, look and see

If there's a letter in your bag for me (US)

Why's it takin' such a long time
(Oh yeah)
For me (US) to hear from that SCHOOL of mine (OURS)

So many days you passed me (US) by
See the tears standin' in my (OUR)eyes
You didn't stop to make me (US) feel better
By leavin' me (US) a card or a letter

(Mister Postman)

Wait a minute

Mainstage,
For all of us waiting...laughter is good medicine!
That was the best ! I laughed out loud!
Keep the faith!

MikksMom :)

mainstage...thanks for that!!!...much needed

All this waiting is making me crazy!!! A new song title? Thank goodness I have my d's upcoming play Bye Bye Birdie coming up next week. But everyone will be asking "What College is she going to?" will I still be saying "we don't know"

shellipearl, What part does your D have? My D was "Kim" a few years ago. It was a really fun show!

My D also played Kim......imagine that...lol

My d is Rosie and she is such a Rosie. It's a dream part with all that singing and dancing and she loves to sing those low notes. The dress rehearsals have been great and I've been doing costuming, it takes our minds off waiting for news. Well kind of....
