Where am I going? Low GPA, high SAT score.

I have a really really low GPA:
3.4 or 3.5

But my SAT score is:
2270

I have applied to:
Emory, Goergetown, Duke, UPeen (Wharton), NYU (Stern), Columbia, and state schools.

It's too late to bring my GPA up--it's decision time!

My extraccc are not much, just typical:
Started Invisible Children Club at my school
Lacrosse Team
and various other clubs

Your GPA isn't low. Its just low for those schools you're applying too. Your SAT is high though so its going to come down to if they can reason for themselves why the GPA is low. I hope you applied to some safety schools.

ye, i applied to some local state schools. and im actually thinking of goinf to UNC bc it would be cheaper. it sucks bc many ppl i know have higher gpas than me and lower sat scores...and some of them already got in ivy leagues ED!!!

If you got into UNC then I suggest you go there. A great school that I'm guessing is in-state for you. So you are not paying as much and still getting a great school. Of course don't go because you feel obligated.

2468, is there a reason that you have a GPA on the lower-end for these schools? If it's because you slacked off or something than you have a lower chance, but if it's because you had mitigating circumstances or if that is a pretty high GPA at your school (ie you have a high class rank) then it is a different story.

I agree with Virginia, UNC seems like your best bet.

Good luck!

that upeen must be a really good school
