what the heck! You guys are already on WWII!! We’re barely STARTING progressivism!

Do you have an AP review book? It may be a good idea to get one if you don’t.

When I took APUSH last year, we were done learning everything by the middle of February, and from February until May we reviewed and did class projects to solidify things.

It’s definitely up to you to finish by this point. AMSCO is a wonderful book to study from (I wish I had used it before 4th quarter last year!) - get some practice tests if you can. My teacher has been teaching APUSH for something like 30 years but I don’t remember exactly when we finished - we had plenty of time and 50% of the students made 5’s. Like swoopes2 said, if you’re serious about getting a good score in this exam, work on it over spring break. You have a LOT to cover - but if it’s any consolation, I do remember my teacher saying they never based the DBQ off of anything after 1970.

ok i got the AMSCO book and in class we are on WW2. How exactly should i study this spring break? just read every chapter of AMSCO and memorize?

My class just took our final test all the way up to Dubyah.

But it’s a two-year course.

Class is on Great Depression.

I am on LBJ’s Great Society and the Vietnam War.

Pageant.

We’re on chapter 25 of Brinkley - the great depression. We’re going to speed through the rest of the chapters, and we’re doing individual worksheets and barely covering them in class.

We’re on chapter 25 of Brinkley- the first half of the year went really slowly, and the teacher just now freaked out and is rushing through things… My teacher says she’s sure we’ll get through everything, but it’ll be a close call.

We just started Kennedy’s administration before break (I think Chapter 39 in the American Pageant). We moved it through really quickly, though.

Hii um using the American Pageant, just read tonight chapter 35: FDR and the shadow of the War, and my teacher has plotted out every class until the AP and it’s really tight. We’re planning on finishing quick enough to leave at least the 2 weeks before for quick reviews and quizzes to review.

I am basically in the same situation as you, Haley Nicole. Its gonna be tough, but we can do it.

Thanks Neddy us APUSHERS need to stick together

amen sistah.

just finished the 20s, kinda into the great depression. about to go into ww2

Finished WWII; we’re in the Cold War up to the Kennedy Administration.

I don’t see why AP classes for you other guys are year-long. My AP US History class was only a semester long and we finished all of the material with two weeks left over to go over DBQ and essay writing. The downside, however, would be the semester without studying US History. I took the subject test after finishing the semester course (760/800) and now I am rereading AMSCO for the AP test. Many of my fellow students complain about semester long AP, but honestly, I think a year is just downright ridiculous for block scheduled schools.

Just an update. We are now in the same situation as a few of you. She realized she is way behind and now she is rushing through so no one is really learning the material. We will be lucky to get to WWII.

You are supposed to at least be between chapter 35-40. However I know of some people who are on Chapter 14!

im self studying and just finished revolutionary war…

(sigh) I had no idea when we started the class that progress would be so slow. Now that I see where everyone else in the rest of the country is, where we are, and how close the AP exam is, I am extremely worried. I have Spring Break next week; does anyone have any recommendations (books, strategies, online crash courses/summaries) on what I can do in the next month to get up to speed so that I can perform well on the exam? (Using The American Pageant, btw)
