My hair's pretty short; about 2 inches. I just want to get a trim up.

I've heard good things about Dascola's (on State Street, upstairs, near "See" and Ben & Jerry's). I have also gotten positive reports on the barber in Nickel's Arcade. I've taken my son to Campus Barbers (on Maynard & William) and they did a good job.

I go to Coach and Four on State between Hill and Packard. I think they exclusively do men's haircuts. It's where most people in the athletic department go (I got my hair cut next to Bo back when I was too young to really know who he was). TV always has sports on, reading material while you're waiting includes Michigan Football media guides and Playboy in addition to the usual stuff, and on a couple occasions they've asked me if I wanted a beer. If none of that stuff sounds particularly appealing to you, I think you could go to the place two doors down for $2 less.

They do do girl's cuts, girls just don't usually go there. There was an article in the Daily about.

I know it sounds uber-girly, but the Douglas J Aveda Institute isn't just for girls, plus you get shampoo, conditioning, and a shoulder and head massage included for $16 (You can also go to the Douglas J Aveda Exchange for a $40 cut). The cuts don't come out trendy/style-ish/feminine if you don't want them to be. I've gotten trims there before.
