I plan on trying to transfer to the College of Engineering next year from my Michigan Community College. By then I will have all the pre reqs and GPA (3.5). I cannot find my chances though.

How many people applied to Michigan or better the college of engineering and how many got accepted?

I just don't want to get my hopes up.

Michigan does not break down admissions stats by college for transfer students. Last year, Michigan received 2,868 transfer applicants and admitted 1,154 (40%) of them. In terms of GPA, I think a 3.5+ GPA would make you relatively competitive, assuming you are taking relevant courses, such as Calculus I & II, Physics etc... Of course, there are never guarantees and the higher your GPA, the better your chances.
