where can students buy old MIT books?

where can students buy old MIT books, besides amazon, ebay, and the MIT bookstore?

I’d recommend waiting till you get here, then either borrowing or buying books from students who took the class last year. I know APO organizes this huge book exchange thing which should be really useful, and you can also usually find people in your dorm who want to get rid of textbooks (especially if you’re going to be taking a lot of GIRs, which everyone has been through already).

Yeah, definitely wait until you get here cause lots of upperclassmen will email out about books that they still have leftover previously. Also, there are several websites that sells old textbooks from students such as bookx.mit.edu and mit412.com. I mostly either borrowed/bought my books from upperclassmen or bought them off of the previous sites, or ordered used books from amazon. I have never bought textbooks from the coop. IMO, they are way overpriced.
