lafalum’s D accepted ED to Elon…don’t want to post someone’s else’s kids stats but they belong on this thread…

there are also a bunch of ones on the other 3.0-3.3 thread if someone wants to merge posts…(is there a way to do that?)

Jcpat,

I think the thread was quiet as many regular posters of questions are simply hunkered down, awaiting decisions or are not yet focused on where to visit with their juniors on Spring Break

Yup a lot of EA decisions will come in after Dec 15th.

In at E-Town (Stats: 1100 sat 3.4 weighted GPA, unusual ECs).

Congrats, Gweeta, your son is on a roll!

Gweeta, you’re son is going to have a lot of good choices! Do you think he will have a hard time choosing?

How is she doing at Belmont Abbey? My daughter just got accepted there.

I’ve been admitted to a few schools so far with a 3.2 GPA. They are Susquehanna, McDaniel, OWU and Hendrix. There are great schools for students in this range.

Congrats Biokid! Yo have a lot of good choices already! Let us know when you pick the winner!

I am a 3.3ish student. I was accepted to the Park School at Ithaca College. One of the most known communications school in the country.

congrats mdemvizi: guess we missed that one a couple of weeks ago on another thread!! Park is great!!

If you can, post the rest of your stats…definitely on daughter’s list for next year…

In at Susquehanna.

boysx3, based on today’s conversation, it looks like choosing is going to be as drawn out a process as applying. I’m just glad he has some choices.

It’s time to revise this thread…
Warriorboy has a 3.1 GPA, 32 ACT and was accepted at the following schools with merit $$$ between $10,000 and $17,000.:
UConn No aid here)
McDaniel
Hendrix
Susquehanna
OWU
Furman
Rhodes
Wooster
High Point

Still waiting on his top choice and his super reach…

So there is hope for the B student (even one with a D on his transcript)!!!

Wow, Warriorboy! are any schools rising to the top or falling off the list completely?

At this point Furman, McDaniel and High Point have dropped off the list. He spoke to admissions at Furman today (they called) and told them that he wouldn’t be attending.
If he gets into top choice then we are done. If not, I think it will be between Hendrix, Susquehanna, Rhodes and Wooster.

Warriorboy is the clear winner in the “Accepted to Colleges In the Most States” Category! Congrats!

yabeyabe2 - I never thought of that!! How Funny!!!

If you get the chance, your Visit Reports would probably be a unique head to head comparison resource to future students–sort of a CTCL from the student/parent viewpoint

sounds like warriorboy’s and yabeyabes sons could end up at the same school…hehehe…keep us posted!!

S, who has a 2.9 GPA with 24 ACT applied to 12 schools - not knowing where he would be accepted. So far, he was accepted to 10 schools - West Chester and Kutztown in PA, URI, Plattsburgh, Oswego, Hofstra, High Point, George Mason, Univ of Scranton and Unv of Hartford! He is still waiting to hear from Towson and Marist. So far, Mason is his top choice, but I would like him to go to a smaller school. He had an amazing essay, killer recommendations and an outstanding resume which included a varsity sport, president of key club among other things. I was pleased to see that these schools don’t judge by GPA alone but look at the total picture.
