Where do I stand?

I'm a junior from Illinois. The schools I want to apply to are Iowa State, Marquette, UIUC, and I'm gonna apply to ND but I doubt I'll get in. I'm also going to apply to DePaul and Loyola in Chicago. Here are my stats as of now:

competitive high school- not the best in the state but pretty close.
GPA- 3.7 weighted, but not by much, I'm only in two weighted classes.
Class rank- top 29% 250ish/800
AP's- 1 right now, 2 by the end of senior year
ACT: 26- but I'm retaking it;the class I'm in still has a few more weeks so this should go up.
If progression counts, the last three semesters I've recieved a 3.5, 3.85, and 4.15

EC's-
Marching Band
Jazz
Summer baseball during the last two months of the school year
Church groups-
service group
Apologetics (talking about catholic beliefs and such)
Retreat leader
I was asked to go to Boys' State. It's a week long camp thing through the American Legion; I guess they only ask a few people to go from each post.

feedback would be appreciated

Hopefully on the shoulder of giants.....

A few more comments would be great.

I would say a decent chance. why not take the SATs and see what you get?

I don't plan on applying to any eastern schools so I'd rather put all my energy into the ACT. Plus isn't the SAT harder?

DePaul is easy to get into.

Might want to apply to Holy Cross-very good Catholic school 1 hour from Boston. HC is SAT optional and better academic reputation than Marquette or DePaul but might be a reach.

some people do well on the ACT but not hte SAT. some do welll on both. some only do well on the SAT. my friend got a 2200 SAT but a 28 ACT, whereas i got a 32 ACT and a 1700 SAT. you never know til u try, and u should take it.. ya never know. youll be fine at those schools i think, but i would advise u to take the sAT
