Where do UCLA students find tutors?

I'm the mom of a freshman who would like to hire a tutor for help in a chemistry class (the introductory class for engineering majors, sorry I forget the class number). Didn't sign up in time for the free tutoring service. Is there a posting site at UCLA that is popular for persons wishing to tutor, or wanting to hire a tutor? Not sure where to look....

Thanks in advance!

daily bruin newspaper?

Ask around for friends in AAP tutoring for add’l free tutoring. For covel tutoring (free group tutoring), just tag along with a friend.

Thanks, and sorry for the double post!

If you can’t find people to tag with, your child could also go to the drop in sessions done by Covel Tutoring (Depending on day, may be crowded):

Tau Beta Pi (an engineering honor society) also offers drop-in tutoring (Note: varying degrees of skill in tutoring/explaining):

While this isn’t free, the Chem dept. has a list of grad students available to tutor (Personally, I’ve had a couple of those grad students as TA’s, and some of them were just OKAY at explaining, though most of them did know their stuff):

Great, I’ll pass the info along!
