Where do you find comparison of medium MCAT scores and GPA for med schools

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>My DD is applying for Medical school. I am trying to find a comparative list of school MACT scores for reference, but I don't know where to start. Please help.</p>

<p>Do EC’s, like in college apps, make any difference in the medical school apps? My DD has extensive research experiences and she is shadowing. But she is not very active in college EC’s</p>

<p>GPA and MCAT only keep you from getting rejected. Interview, personal statement and ECs get you in.</p>

<p>What are important EC’s for med school apps? My DD stopped music and sports in college are they important?</p>

<p>Please see the stickies at the top of the “pre-med topics” section, but generally they need to be ECs that demonstrate you not only understand what a career as a physician is about (e.g. shadowing, volunteering in a clinical setting, clinical research) but also ones that demonstrate you have qualities one looks for in a physician (dedication, perseverance, thirst for knowledge, ability to educate others, leadership, ability to work in groups, etc).</p>

<p>FWIW, my MD/PhD program along with several others (and several medical schools) say music and athletics are ECs that get particular interest but this is usually only when done at a relatively high level (e.g. club/preferably varsity level athletics, being part of a musical performance group)</p>
