Where do you think you would have gone if you didn't enroll in Berkeley?

yeah Cal Poly is underrated but very well regarded in some departments.

same here with the UChicago waitlist.

Also got into Northwestern and Duke. Wasn’t very interested in Northwestern and felt like I was suffocating when I visited Duke.

Carnegie Mellon or UCLA.

NYU (Stern’s), UCLA, or USC but you can’t beat Cal engineering :)

Emory, full ride

Berkeley pwns Emory at both Business and Computer Science. Especially at Computer Science. Those are the two things I want to study (leaning strongly towards CS though)

I was deciding between Berkeley and UChicago. Money ended up being the deciding factor.

UVA with Echols Scholars Program. Glad I chose Cal in the end though.

Ucla or Emory

For my son, it would have been Harvey Mudd or UCLA. Cal was his first choice though.

Woohoo Christopher!

I had the exact same situation. Ended up picking Cal for the money. ****ing Chicago and their lack of financial aid. Although I really really wanted to attend UChicago.

I was 100% sure I was going to UCLA but the day before decisions for Cal came out, I thought I wanted a change of pace after living in Los Angeles my whole life.

^It’s a big change.

UChicago. where fun comes to die. haha

johns hopkins haha, or maybe even caltech… i’m happy with my choice though :)

I’m gonna bite…why did you reject Stanford?

For me? Probably UCLA or San Francisco State. The other school I got into were just for fun schools.

I would have gone to ucla or johns Hopkins since I was rejected at Stanford and MIT…(cries lol jk)

Brown or UPenn

^isn’t the Harry Potter girl Emma Watson at Brown (sigh but I heard she was a boyfriend)?

^Yes she is at brown.

You heard she was a boyfriend? Lol

^I mean “had” “I heard she had a boyfriend” lol

Yeah she has a boyfriend. Eh, I don’t know if it was just my experience, but when I visited Brown for their admit day thing I got a sense of complacency from the students, almost as if they had already made it and didn’t need to try that hard anymore. Might have to do with Brown’s grading policies. I really didn’t like the complacency.

UChicago, on the other hand, was far different.
