Where do YOU want to go to college?

<p>We're going to college preparatory schools, so where exactly do you want to go to college (as of right now)? </p>

<p>I have three colleges in mind:
Georgetown
Auburn
U of Chicago</p>

<p>however, i am stuck at lake woebegone high school, so ehhhh i wonder how that’ll work out.</p>

<p>…wellesley’s also extremely attractive but i feel like if i dare associate myself with it, i’m insulting wellesley :(</p>

<p>My brother is currently applying for colleges and he just got a letter from Princeton saying that since he has such good stats he should be looking into Princeton! So I guess if he goes there it will def help me get in haha</p>

<p>@matonh I’ve heard that too, haha. But honestly, I want to go to Chicago because of the academic rigor. It’s a fantastic school and has a great political science department (a major I want to pursue). I want education to be the most important factor in my college experience. And I’m sure that you can find fun on campus. Also, Chicago is an amazing city- I’ve wanted to live there ever since I visited as a little girl!</p>

<p>University of New Hampshire, Trinity College, Mcgill, Allegheny, Dickinson, Holy Cross (MA), University of Washington, University of the South, University of Deleware. I havent made up my mind yet if i want to go to a small liberal arts college or a big university but i shall decide in December!</p>

<p>Stanford, MIT, CalTech are my reach schools. Perhaps Columbia? Very impressive schools with great stats, and several people that I have met (teachers, mentors, student teachers) recommended these schools to me based on compatibility. A few of them actually attended these schools, so I know that they have knowledgeable experience.</p>

<p>I was wondering if anyone else on this thread feels annoyed whenever people state, “I want to go to Harvard, Princeton, or Yale,” especially when you know their opinions are simply based on reputation and they will, in all likelihood, not be accepted. After all, don’t these schools have a 7% acceptance rate?</p>
