I have not seen her here in a very long time. Does anyone know where she is'?

Soozie was out of town for a short time. Will be "back in action" soon.

Defying Gravity, hey, it is nice to know somebody misses me, lol. Hope my own kids say the same :D.

I wasn't really gone THAT long. I went out of town for four days and am just catching up. I did not have internet access when I was away. I went to visit my mom near Philadelphia and to take her to NYC (your "town") to see Light in the Piazza (some may recall that convo back in summer and thanks to all who recommended it...we enjoyed it very much) and my younger D, the one who just started Tisch, met us for lunch and the show. I have since read online that Barbra Streisand was sitting in the same row as us but we did not know that and too bad as my mom LOVES her. So, I'm here and will be for quite some time. If others are reading this and have emailed me recently, please forgive me for how long it is taking me to get the replies back to you! Really behind. I saw the tour of Millie tonight too.

To Soozie:

Did you by any chance see Elizabeth Murff play Mrs. Meers? My daughter has worked with her and she's a terrific person. We were thrilled that she was doing the tour.

Thanks.

By the way, I forgot to mention that the young woman playing Millie, was the one that others mentioned a while ago who just graduated from Elon and played Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde there. She was very good. Most of the cast of the tour, other than the older roles, were young and many bios mentioned "recently graduated" and by the way, none were from the "top" BFA programs you hear about. This might be cause it is a non Equity tour (I THINK) but in any case, it made me think about how these are the kind of jobs that many recent graduates from MT programs might get or hope to get upon graduation. This might be some of your kids in a few years. As young as many were, they were quite talented.

Did you see Elizabeth Murff?

On second thought, Elizabeth is equity, so if it was a non-equity tour, I suppose you wouldn't have seen her. In any case, she's a great person. She recently did Dolly Levi in "Hello Dolly" and was fantastic. My daughter played with her in "Nuncrackers" in Orlando, Christmas 2003.

Soozie you might be intersted to know that one of the segments of Applause, the song is Three Bedroom House from Bat Boy and I am auditioning for Merediths part. If you or your D. want to come see the show since it is in NYC over MLKJR. weekend I can email you the info.

DG....hey good luck with that!! I doubt I will be in NYC. That weekend, however, is when NYU students start returning to campus. Maybe my daughter will be there. Her friends are no longer at Applause as they are too old.

Speaking of Bat Boy, my D saw Deven May in a show last week (the original Bat Boy) and thinks he is great. She also ran into the guy who played Bat Boy in her production here in VT (a NY actor) in the city by accident.

Three Bedroom House is a great song. I hope you enjoy Applause. You are lucky to be able to do that. We have nothing like that where we live.

The girl playing Millie, along with a few other people in the show, were in the same summer stock with my daughter. I can't wait until the show is playing near us!
