That you know of?

Bremerton … by public transportation, including ferry.

I remember someone in one of my classes was commuting from Carnation.

One of my friends commutes from Federal Way via bus, and I might have to commute myself (I’m from Kent).

DS planning to commute from Whidbey. Ferry then 1 hour express bus ride. Plans to get a lot of work done on the ferry/bus.

triseradad: Good idea I have a direct 1 hour bus (driving it would take me 20 minutes though!) and I either sleep if I didn’t sleep as much the night before (all regulars on the bus … pretty much go to know the UW students so we watch each others’ backs when we’re sleeping xD) or I do a lot of reading. :)

I’m commuting from Bellevue, and 90% of the people sleep on the bus too lol

Hahaha yeah sometimes I take 520 instead of I90 on my way home and I could probably start my own people sleeping in the bus tumblr …

I’m going to be commuting from Issaquah if I don’t feel like chugging out 8-9k for a dorm.

I know someone that commutes from bremerton too

drive to park and ride => bus to ferry => ferry to seattle => bus to uw
reverse order back home!

and she’s raising a kid too!

@travelgirl: Oh my, props to her! :O

would it be reasonable if i were to commute junior and senior year to walk or bike from ravenna and not have a car?

I know someone who walks from greenlake to UW, so yes.

The Issaquah bus is easy, but sometimes you have to commute to Eastgate for the 271.

But to answer the question, the furthest I know of is a guy on the Track and Field team. He lives in Puyallup and wanted to save housing money so he rides to Auburn with his Mom and then takes the Sounder to Union Station and then takes the 70-something bus to UW.
