Why is obesity not a major problem in the world of wizardry?

In real life, society struggles with this issue, yet it is no big deal in the Harry Potter series. Why is that?

Wizards never have to get the mail. It is flown right to them.
They do not have to travel. They have apparition.
LOOK AT THE FIRST THREE LETTERS OF THE SCHOOL?!
They get HUGE feasts for dinner.
They get all the junk food they want.
They play only ONE sport, consisting of sitting on a broom."

"Muggles" are WAY more active than wizards, yet most wizards are thin and fit.

I think their spell casting is a sneaky substitute for exercise. Here’s why:

You know how when you do a physical exertion like skipping that your muscles move? That they are strained because you use your foot like a pivot, making it tense as you propel your whole body forward? you know that this is what exercise is essentially? forces on leg? well I think magic is also forces on leg. Only their is no net direction. When the spell courses through the leg, it strains the leg right and then left, back and forth, creating momentum that allows the spell (the kinetic energy) to burst outward once enough potential is accumulated. So its like skipping only the energy is channeled into a spell all at once, not dissipated gradually for kinesthetic purposes. And that’s why V-------- is so bony. Because he gesticulates so many big spells.

That’s obviously not true, there are numerous fatsos in harry potter, from the Petunia, Duddly and Mr. Vernon, as well as Crab and Goyle. Generally speaking everyone is healthy, because magic easily cures them, also Mr. Wormtail and others?

Don’t forget Professor Slughorn. And Mrs. Weasley is always described as being “plump”. I’d assume it’s the type of thing they could change if they really wanted to, but just like in the real world, plastic surgery isn’t for everyone.

Ok if they have ‘food’ that does things like change your appearance to someone else’s and make your wish come true, and have spells/items that allow you to live twice at the same time and make you invisible, they definitely have SOMETHING that’ll take away the fat.

That would explain Crabbe, Goyle, and Hagrid then. Mrs. Weasley doesn’t do all that much magic either, just housework spells. Maybe Slughorn is just lazy? :P

Aren’t there witches and wizards in the United States as well? I remember Rowling saying something about the Salem witches academy or something in Goblet of Fire…
