<p>You can mention it in the “scholarships” section of the application. It’s under the “Ethnicity, National Origin or Religion” tab in that section. I don’t think it will influence admission decisions, though.</p>
<p>it’s implied, however it is important to bring it up in the personal statement… However you dont want to focus too much of it, instead it should be support your overall theme of the essay.</p>
<p>or putting it another way, it should be a good side dish but not the meat. The reason is that there are too many first generations that apply to UC’s so focusing on that alone is not going to set you apart.</p>
