I've completed my first year at community college with a 4.0 and one W. The classes for my two semesters were:

1st Semester
-5cr Calculus I
-5cr Concepts of Biology (w/ lab)
-5cr Physics I (w/ lab)

2nd Semester
-5cr Calculus II
-5cr Physics II (w/ lab)
-3cr US History (with ethnic studies component)
-4cr Java Programming - Dropped

I want to think about transfers early because typically you have to apply pretty early and different universities have different general requirements, so now is the time I suppose. My classes have been on track for engineering but I might choose to double major in physics. Also, I could have a few very good letters of recommendations from my professors for the admissions process. However, even though all of this might look good on paper, the 2 year university I'm going to is a little out of the way university that nobody has heard of (University of Wisconsin: Richland, part of the UW Colleges system). My eyes have been set on UW-Madison (I'd like to shoot for the best school I can get into, for obvious reasons) but is there anywhere better out of state I should be thinking of? I don't have a lot of money, but there might be some universities out there that would justify it I guess.
