Where should I apply?!?!?! (Chancing back)

i have to agree that your GPA is low, but if it is rising that’s great.

definitely apply anywhere you want. i think jhu, berkeley, northwestern, cornell, wustl, vandi, maybe georgetown are perfect matches for you. you have an excellent shot of getting into hyps as well.

best of luck!

You’re fine. You will get a legit shot at many schools. I would suggest the Uc’s UCLA, and Berkley. Also Carnegie, NYU, Boston, NW, Cornell

Some safeties which are still great schools: George Washington, USC, Boston U, UIUC

Chance me: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1428090-chance-me-please-thank-you.html

Bump bump bump

[World’s Best Universities in Biological Sciences; Top Biological Sciences Schools | US News](http://www.usnews.com/education/worlds-best-universities-rankings/best-universities-biological-sciences)

That is a link to some of the top biology programs. I really think you could get in anywhere you want. Your SAT, ACT, and EC’s are great. Your GPA might be a little low for some of the Ivies but you never know. Good luck!

Chance me back?

Thank you @jmuclassof2017!

Bump bump bump

ECs are really good! Your URM status will also help. Your GPA is low, as you probably know - how steep is your upward trend, exactly?

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1430767-i-swore-i-wouldnt-give-ask-chances-but-here-i-am-pton-rice-emory.html

Well, for example…this year my UW is a ~3.9. I think it’s steep considering my increase in workload, class rigor, etc

I think any Tier 2/Lower Tier 1 school is a good shot. Aim for NYU, JHU (ED), UChicago, BU and so on!

Chance me back please

@sameer1 if you don’t mind me asking, do you think any ivies would be possible? If so, which ones? I know it’s not imperative to go Ivy but I’d like to know if there’s any chance.

You will have decent chance at ivies like penn Dartmouth Cornell brown and other similar schools. Hyp might be a little tougher but it’s worth a shot

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?p=15178249

Thanks! Bump bump bump

I’d say looking at Ivies you will get into 1 with those projected scores and the rising GPA along with your hook. Any other school downward will be a very good shot at so you shouldn’t have to worry

chance me back bud?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1431836-chance-me-umich-rd-ill-chance-back-right-away.html

I think you could get into any school you please haha. Have you taken the psat? Also, how long did it take for you to accumulate your 200+ hours of service? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1431373-chance-top-schools.html chance back?

I have taken the PSAT and I get my scores back tomorrow! Last year I took a practice ACT with no studying and got the equivalent of a 31/32 (2070-2130) so I think with a year more knowledge and studying, I got at least a 210-215 on my PSAT. Fingers crossed! As for service, it will be over all 4 years, but the req’d is only 80 hrs

I’d say Emory, William and Mary, Boston, UIUC?
its worth a shot I think
chance me back:)
