So I'm looking to transfer next year, and going to be applying for universities soon. I just wanted to have an idea of ones I should apply to and what my chances are at different universities.

I have a 3.73 GPA overall, and a 3.69 transfer GPA. I also have a semester of W's because I wasn't able to manage a school and work at the same time (so I left school for a semester). During the time I left school, however, I was doing a full-time internship for the Walt Disney Company. I've been working since I was 16; I held a children's teaching job for 3 years, then have shorter experience with restaurants/stores/gym's, and I'm still working for Disney. I have lots of volunteering but no college clubs or anything. I'm also in the Honors program at my CC.

I'm in state for CA, and I go to school completely on financial aid and scholarships. I'm not 100% decided on my degree, but I started working towards Liberal Studies. Maybe something to do with hospitality or marketing, though.

Look at your in service area Cal State as your safety school. From there, it will depend upon how much can you afford and do you plan to commute or live on campus. There are so many schools to choose. You have a competitive GPA so you have a good chance at several schools.

Gumbymom is correct. CSU’s can be your safety school. You should try the UC’s first. The impacted ones (UCB, UCLA and UCSD) are difficult to get in, even with your competitive GPA. As for the other UC’s, check their websites to see if you fulfilled their course requirements for your major.

I’ve mainly been looking at CSU Chico. Primarily for location; I’ve always wanted to try living up north and I have some friends who go there. I haven’t really found too much information on it. Would my stats get me in there?

Chico would definitely be a match. Why don’t you ask your friends since they are living there?
You might also want to consider UC Davis. Feels rural although you are only 20 mins away from Sacramento. Great college town.

All of my friends who are in university now went straight from high school, so I assumed the requirements were probably different. Most of the people I graduated with who chose community college are still there. I was wondering; do you have any information as to which colleges I would be most likely to receive financial aid at? Which ones have good scholarship programs? Or how I could find information about scholarships for universities? Thanks!

I have attached a link for Chico State common data set:

If you look at the average GPA for Freshman 2014, it is a 3.27. For transfers, the GPA threshold will be lower than the in-coming Freshman, so you are in great shape. You do not have an advisor at your CC to help you with your questions? If you are receiving FA at your CC, you should also contact the FA department for your questions. You might want to post on the Transfer Student Thread to get more information. I know scholarships and aid is more difficult as a transfer student, so I would utilize your CC’s resources since they should have all this information.
