I'm a senior biology major finishing up my degree. I have pretty much lost interest in pursuing the obvious paths related to my major (medical school, field biology, research...), and am now at a real loss as to what I should do next. I am 2 classes away from finishing my major classes, so not finishing up the degree would be a little dumb. I have discovered that what I really want is a more applied job, working with people, and completing projects that don't continue for a "lifetime". I have a general interest in social sciences, but because I don't really know what I want to do, I figure double majoring in a social science might just be a waste of time.
What should I do? I graduate at the end of this year and I don't know the right path I should take....
Should I stick around for a double major?
What's the path I should take to getting myself out of a research path, which is what I feel I am on, and moving to one where I can apply my skills to a more stable job? Mind you, I have no interest in working in a lab..
What steps can I take to finding out what I really want to do?
Anyone else in a similar predicament? What did you do? Any suggestions?

what have been some summer jobs you’ve done?

I’ve been employed in retail positions since my college career started to make the money necessary to go to college. I’ve applied to a couple internships related to my field, but were never elected to go.
Basically, I have no “summer jobs” because I’m too busy doing my real life job to keep my apartment and pay my tuition. :(

I would strongly suggest finishing your degree. If you have the financial means, there are an abundance of graduate level degrees that can open up doors in fields that have nothing to do with biology. For example, an MBA could open up many kinds of doors for you in a variety of different fields, and you do not need an undergraduate business degree to enter an MBA program.
