“It is not only for validation, but for networking opportunities, and an experience outside of the same area that I have lived in my whole life.”
Excellent reasons to work very hard and strive for a 4.0 at Rutgers, then go to a different university for law school. My understanding is that for a career in law, the “prestige” of the law school that you attend does matter (but not so much the prestige of your undergrad).
However, certain undergraduate institutions may prepare students particularly well for highly regarded law schools:
The 20 Schools
Amherst
Brown
Claremont McKenna
Columbia
Cornell
Dartmouth
Duke
Georgetown
Hamilton
Harvard
Middlebury
Northwestern
Pomona
Stanford
UChicago
UMichigan
UPennsylvania
U of Southern California
Yale
Yeshiva
(College Transitions.)
The above noted, you could nonetheless do really well from the academically rich Rutgers, should you decide to continue your education at your current school, @BernieBro24.
