Where should I go?

So here's my situation:

I got into Villanova (College of Arts and Science) , College of the Holy Cross, Trinity College (CT), American University, and Franklin and Marshall College.

I'm going in with an intended major of Economics.

Which school has the best academic reputation in the field of Economics?

Any input would be helpful. Thank you!

Holy Cross

what were your stats on getting into these schools, i’m looking at all of these except for trinity…
thanks

Take a good look at the neighborhood around Trinity College --at night.

You might want to look at the number of professors in your field in each college. Also, look at a current schedule to see the range of courses that are currently offered (not the ones in the catalog that may theoretically be offered at some time).

Also, you can look at student ratings of profs in a dept in each college at ratemyprofessors . com.

I may be biased, but I say 'nova. Businessweek [ranks the School of Business at #7 in the nation](http://images.businessweek.com/slideshows/20110227/best-undergraduate-business-schools-2011/slides/8), and the education here is fantastic (in my opinion).

@charlieschm: That may be a useful resource for other schools, but most Villanova students use Novateachers. Keep in mind, people who tend to review their profs tend to do so either because they had a very positive experience with them, or a very negative one. That can skew the types of reviews you see.

Nova offers econ through both Business and College of arts and sciences. So it fits the needs of the student better. A&S is more writing based, whie VSB is more math based. Not many schools offer that

Be sure to apply to VSB as it is nearly impossible to switch from econ (lib arts) to econ (VSB) than the other way around
