Where should i go?????

I am deciding between a few colleges that i got in to. Should I go to San Diego State University or Michigan State University. I got into both engineering programs. I am completely 50 50 on which to go to. I love both places so i pretty much no idea on how to choose where to go. Help!!!!!!

First of all do you want four months of snow or 12 months of sun?

You know what, I have grown up surfing and longboard skateboarding, but i am willing to take the change on so i guess i could like the snow. I mean i do go snowboarding every winter, but thats for a week, not 12....hahahaha.....in addition both sides of my family are from michigan so i go back there every summer, not winter......hahah....so ya i guess i have to make a huge descion. Do you think Michigan state is a better school then San Diego state. I know they are both not the best schools in the nation but they are somewhere i can get in. What do you think?

Michigan State offers a well-respected undergrad engineering education. Undergrads are given all kinds of opportunities. You can work on your own original research, directly supervised by a professor, by simply asking. You can gain work experience through their co-op program. They have the #1 study abroad program in the country (in terms of percentage of students who participate). Also a very social student body. There's no shortage of parties Wednesday through Saturday. Beautiful campus, etc...

sdsu , cant beat ca.

dtshen........... growing up in socal i understand how awesome it is, but i do question how good of an engineering school sdsu has, compared to michigan state....or does it not matter?

It depends on your goals. Either school will probably get you a similar paying job after graduation. I would say MSU is more widely recruited geographically speaking though. If you know you want to live in the southwest, then SDSU is good bet. If you don't really have a preference or want to keep your options open, MSU may be better. If you're thinking of grad school, I would say MSU would be better for that as well.

i agree with what sptkt said, if you are thinking of grad school maybe msu would be slightly better, grad school as in MS not MBA

smitty, my advice to you is this because i made the same mistake

i chose the best ranked engineering school i could go to, Purdue.

however, the pboelem i face now is trying to find a job in california. If you goto msu, itu will most likely be faced with a lot of employers in the midwest. i duno about you but after being in the midwest ,i gained full appreciation of life in CA , and i know its where i want to be after graduation, however expensive cost of living is.

if i went to san jose state university, i'd proobably get a similar paying job, i'd have more fun, i'd probably work less hard in my classes, and i'd have an easier time finding a job in CA, i believe.

trust me, ranking is not everything.

if u were really interested in a good eningeering program that is nothard to get in, try purdue, its quite easy

sdsu has some really hot girls, goto sdsu have fun there and get a good gpa

ya thats another thing you talk about.....i did get into San Jose State, but i just assumed that SDSU is a better school. Is my assumption correct???? and also what is the advantage of getting a masters???? should i consider that....maybe even get a masters in buisness administartion???? Would that be a wise choice??

if u think sdsu > sjsu in terms of engineering, u have not done ur research at all

really!!!!!!!!!!! ill check into that.....thanks.......what do you think of it as an engineering school?????
