hi.
i have read this site for a while but never posted.
i live in florida and am going to be a senior next year. i go to a good school.

gpa 3.8
sat 2240

where you do think i should apply to do economics or biology. i haven't decided yet and theres a chance i might do both in college.

I'd imagine that Florida would be a great state to study biology especially marine biology. Check out University of Florida and University of Miami. What's also sort of near you especially if you're somewhere on the north side of Florida is Vanderbilt.

P.S. go Jaguars!

yeah thats what i was wondering whether it was worth it to go somewhere else because florida is supposed to be a good school and i would get a lot of scholarships

Florida has a very reputable business school. Are you top 10% in your class? University of Texas is a top 6 business school even better than UF

i don't know we don't rank.

put a little less effort into your stats please lol

"3.8 gpa
2250"

I've heard U Chicago is great for economics.

...I've also heard it's where fun goes to die. :(

lol. Um, how about Wharton? NYU Stern? Michigan Ross? Berkeley Haas? Tepper at Carnegie Mellon? Cornell AEM?

McCombs is a great b-school, no doubt, but there are lots of other great business schools you omitted. Of course, it's not that easy to get into them...

For economics, for those schools without an undergrad business school, I'd highly recommend UChicago and Northwestern.

You should def apply to Florida schools as safeties but also consider some out-of-state schools for your matches and reaches.

UC-Berkeley's Haas business school is also pretty good.

hotasice he's from Florida...I was mainly thinking of good business schools at least somewhat close to Florida

how do you know i'm a he? well, i am. i'm not going to chicago though. no way in hell. i never heard of it before i can to this site and everything i hear about it makes me hate it more.
i haven't taken really hard classes, so i don't know if i could get to any of those. it's nice to know that florida has good business. do any of you guys know any schools with good biology and business?

Good for biology and business...
MIT, Berkeley, Cornell, Michigan, Wash U
