I’m a premed student at a top 25 school who is considering transferring to another school. My problem is that I’ve never had the opportunity to tour many other schools, but I’m so unhappy I can’t imagine staying at my current school for another 3 years. It’s just not for me.
Here is what I don’t like about my current school:
- The campus is small. The institution is medium-sized but the size of the campus itself is small and there are not many meal places/places to hang out on campus in general.
- No school spirit at all whatsoever, so not much to do on weekends besides go to frat parties. (I’m not a partier)
- It’s really isolated although close to a major city (like 45 minutes outside of the city). There’s no nearby neighborhoods with restaurants either, unless you have a car.
- Not the best courses offered (very plain, broad courses; a lot of my friends at bigger schools have a larger variety of interesting courses)
Does anyone have any suggestions on schools I should look at?
