Where to apply

Hey guys,
I'm currently a sophomore in high school in Michigan. I've been worrying about apps for a while now, even though people are telling me that's it's too early. So far, my stats are:

PSAT: 223 (80 M, 68 CR, 75 W)
ACT: around 33/34
SAT: around 2250
GPA: 4.0
APs taken:
9th: Psych (self study,5)
10th: Bio, Chem, Calc AB, Micro+Macro (self study)
Future APs:
11th: Calc BC, Physics C Mechanics, Physics C E+M, Lang, APES (self study), Stats (self study), Comp Sci (self study)
[I'm trying to get the Siemen's AP award, so any advice on which classes to actually take and which to self study would be greatly appreciated]
Future IBs: IB Business HL 1+2, IB World SL 1
SAT Subject Tests: I'm taking Bio M, Chem, and Math II this year and I'm planning on taking Physics next year
Most of my extra curricular achievements are in math competitions.
I'm also planning on doing some research and such this summer and next summer.

Basically, I'm wondering how much all of the above will help me get into Ivy Leagues and other prestigious colleges (Columbia is my dream college, and Johns Hopkins/Georgia Tech/Washington in St. Louis are my next highest colleges). I'm pretty sure my credentials are good enough to get me into U of M (sorry if I sound cocky, tell me if I am), but I'm wondering what else that I'd need that would help push me into Ivy League material.

Also, I want to do biomedical engineering, but my parents are trying to push me towards comp sci and IT related fields instead. I find bio and chem very interesting and I love doing them, but I don't want to put myself in a field that doesn't have a big future. Which field looks more promising for the future?

Thanks for your time!

You’re qualified for the Ivies, but there’s no telling if you’ll win the lotteries. Just keep researching your fields of interest and colleges that match them, and when you write your essays, show enthusiasm and depth. Don’t make your essay into a list of accomplishments, apply to safety schools, understand your family’s finances, and relax. Good luck!
