where to find scholarships?

i need a place where i can easily find scholarships and fill them out. is fastweb.com good? i wasnt sure whether i should trust it or not...

The easiest places to obtain merit scholarships are: through the colleges that you're applying to; through your GC and other local scholarship options.

As for fastweb.com: It particularly is useful in terms of telling you about scholarships that you may be considered for at colleges that you're considering applying to.

Unless you have stellar credentials that would make you stand out in a national field, however, fastweb won't be that helpful in terms of helping you connect with national scholarships that aren't affiliated with individual colleges.

My older S was offered a $20,000 scholarship plus internships in a national scholarship that fastweb had sent him info on. However, older S was one of the best high school seniors in the country in the field related to the scholarship.

Fastweb is not a scam. The info it offers is very legitimate. However, to have the best chances of getting merit aid, you need to also find out about local scholarships, something that fastweb doesn't provide info about. You also should check the web sites and scholarship offices of the colleges that you're considering because they may have scholarships that fastweb is not aware of.

Realize, too, that to get any scholarships, you'll have to apply carefully for a lot of scholarships. Don't just put in one application and assume that you'll get that scholarship. Even the students who get the most in scholarship money apply for far more scholarships than they receive.

I totally agree with Northstarmom. However, I would also recommend the Internet for finding scholarships. I've found tons of scholarships through yahoo.
