So I am a senior at a mid-sized high school in Charlotte, NC that I love. My only problem with it is that there is almost no one who has the same values and background as I do. A majority of the people smoke excessively, listen to rap, and kind of bum-out every day... and this especially applies to the boys. I had a boyfriend who was a cute little southern prep, but he unfortunately moved. Don't get me wrong, I've made great friends and met awesome people at my school, but I want to go to a college that has more of the people I would fit in with. I'm preppy, love football, want to be a sorority girl so badly, and want a big big school. Can anyone suggest anything?

Any school in the SEC.

Honestly, you’ll find your niche at most of the top schools in the South (Duke, Vanderbilt, UVA, UNC, W&M, etc). Can you give us your stats so we can see if you’re competitive for these schools?

I’m a freshman at Clemson University this year and I know so many people from Charlotte, NC. People are preppy to extent but not to the extremes that SEC schools go to. It’s a pretty large school, 12,000 students but still small enough that you can get that personal feel if you want to (some other schools are 26,000+), sororities are huge here if you want to get involved in that and football = religion here. Feel free to message me if you have any more questions!

Any school in ACC, SEC, Big 12, Big 10

^You wouldn’t be happy in most of the Big 10

Almost the entire SEC, Miami of Ohio, Vandy, Emory, Sewanee (besides the size), VA public schools, and SC public schools would fit the bill.

I’ve narrowed the list down to Alabama, USC, Clemson, NC State, Appalachian, and Georgia. That’s going to be a difficult choice.

I can’t see why Big 10 schools would be a bad fit.

By USC, are you referring to the University of South Carolina? If so, that is a great move. Sororities are huge there, it is very preppy, and they love their football. Same goes for Georgia and Bama. Not sure about the rest, though.

I’m from Charlotte too (well, Davidson). If your states are decent, Carolina. Otherwise, Clemson, USC, VT, App.

what do you want to major in?

overall Clemson is the best public school in South Carolina while USC is second behind Clemson but for certain majors USC is better than Clemson.

I want to major in Art and concentrate in either Graphic Design or photography. NC State has asked for me to come back from an interview for their design school, but it seems a tad too intense for my liking. All Alabama, South Carolina, and Georgia have similar art programs and I don’t even think Clemson has one? I haven’t really dug into it too deep.

Where have you applied?

Where have you visited?

**How much will your parents spend **each year on your education? If you don’t know, ask them. :)

What are your stats?

Your stats and your budget will likely play a role in your decision. :)
