Where to put dual enrollment courses on Common App

Hello All-
Two questions

  1. What if the dual enrolled college classes are taken concurrently with high school, and do not count towards high school credit but are college credit? Where should I put these courses on common app? I’ve added my college under Colleges & University tab and not able to add courses & grades
  1. Where do I enter courses that I took in middle school but counts towards high school credit e.g Geometry, Spanish?

Please Note: I’ve done extensive search before posting here and have submitted a case with Common app but no response.

Thanks

  1. If they don't count towards your high school degree (not listed on your transcript,) I don't think there isn't anywhere to list them (the courses and grades section, if the college uses it, has an "other courses section," but you'll have to look into how this works,) other than the "additional information" section, which is what I did when I applied last year. You can also send the dual-enrollment transcripts to the admissions offices of the schools you're applying to, and in most cases they will add them to your application.
  2. Are you talking about the Courses & Grades section? Only colleges that utilize that section of the application require you to list all of your courses, most colleges only require your senior year courses and your guidance counselor to submit a HS transcript.

If you are, here’s a list of FAQs about filling it out: https://appsupport.commonapp.org/applicantsupport/s/topic/0TO0V000001QRLFWA4/courses-grades

My son just added his extra community college classes in the section where he puts his classes and grades. There’s a way to make the class ‘dual enrollment’, so colleges know that you took the class at a cc. Best is luck to you!

that’s where my daughter put hers last year. She called and they said that she can also put it in the extra info section, but she wanted to save that for something else. Good luck.
