Where should I send new awards, better AMC scores, etc?

You can send an update letter to admissions at the address listed on their website: www.admissions.college.harvard.edu.

I explored the website before I started the thread.

It does not seem to have a email address for update.

I am worried that snail mail would get there too late.

Try this:
"If you have concerns regarding the arrival of any materials, you are welcome to send additional copies via mail or fax (617-495-8328). Please do not submit additional copies of the Common Application or Harvard Supplement. If you need to update your information, please send a note via post or email to college@fas.harvard.edu with "Update" in the subject line. "
Good Luck

If I send an update email, how long does it approximately take until the adcom dealing with my app actually receives it?

That would depend on how busy the admissions office actually is. Right now, the admissions officers are already starting to make decisions and are still reading files for the Class of 2010. I highly doubt it would take longer than a day or two though.

The teacher who helped me during the application process (Guidance Counselor is what you call it in the US), asked me today if it was possible for her to send additional information (rank update) via email and if yes, where?

I told her just to send it to the regular admissions office email address. Is that ok? Will they know what its about? She said she included my name and highschool. She said she also included a little explanation of an EC I did recently, so will my adcom even get to read it? I hope that all emails are forwarded to the respective adcoms so that everything works out and no info is lost on the way...

Thanks

All information is sent along to the admissions officers. Do not worry about this.

so are you guys suggesting EMAIL or FAX or MAIL?????? The last time I called the adcom office the guy said that "we don't check to see whether we've received the material. If you sent it, it should arrived".

Choose the method you wish, basically. Whichever method you choose, the material will get to the admissions officer. Period.

I did email. Hassel free

You did email? Are you sure they get the emails? I used fax once. I should use fax again? It just sounds more secure.

Yes, they get the e-mails. I'm pretty sure any admissions office, especially Harvard, would not be sloppy when it comes to applicant's information because it is a decision that can change the applicant's life.

i just emailed my update

blech, didnt mean email, i meant faxed...

stupid me.

Ooh, I should have done that. Wasted postage, as it is.
