Silly question, but I thought I'd ask. I have an overall score of 112, but only 23 in the Speaking. I've already been accepted EA to Stanford, but may not be able to attend due to its rather low financial aid package. I was just wondering what colleges will think of the low score. I can attribute the low score to a faulty headset and my testing venue didn't have any replacements.

Haha, I got a 23 on Speaking too, but 111 total. I had a terrible cough that day, so I’m surprised I even managed the 23 XD I wasn’t making myself understood in my native language, how was I supposed to speak English correcctly?
Anyway, some schools specifically ask for 26+ on every section (such as Chicago U), but most are content with a total of 100, whatever the breakdown is. Colleges won’t think anything of it, really. The TOEFL is pretty much pass/fail, and 100-105 is pass at most schools.

To answer your title: Kenya perhaps?

No, but seriously, don’t worry. I wasn’t even aware that they saw every section individually. I have a 109 from 2 years ago (27 in all except 28 in listening I think) and I am glad it is just above 100 which seems to be the fine line between passing and failing. Good day to you.
