<p>Where will we find out? Is there a link from our UNC home pages, like under "check status" that will show up? Will we get an e-mail, or what?</p>

<p>Also... is it possible to be deferred?</p>

<p>there will be a link on your homepage that says something like, click here to read your decision... at least that's what it looked like when I applied two years ago :-P good luck to everyone!! :-)</p>

<p>It's on your homepage, I don't believe it is through your email. But yeah I think people it have said in the past you click on a link "Check Admissions Decision" or something</p>

<p>From what I've heard, the decision will be posted on their website. Is it true that admissions decisions are coming out today rather than tomorrow? My friend is applying and she thought they were coming out tomorrow, but I read that they will be available tonight at 4 PM.</p>

<p>The original plan was Jan 15, but they usually release decisions a week or two early. Since this year the applicant pool was way larger, they couldn't do that, but they are coming out today at 4pm EST, according to the UNC admissions blog. I think the link is unc-admissions.blogspot.com or something. So yes, get ready for in less than 4 hours!!</p>

<p>you can get deferred, so your application will go into the next pool of applicants for the regular deadline... if this happens, I think you will need to send in your first semester grades.</p>

<p>For early action do they just accept and defer or can you get rejected too?</p>
