I'm interested in taking 1 or maybe 2 Online AP classes this upcoming year. I'll be a Junior and I just transferred to Honolulu, Hawaii from SoCal (my dad's in the Navy). Unfortunately, Hawaii schools are HORRIBLE and they offer a small amount of AP courses for me to take. I was thinking of taking AP Comp Sci and maybe AP Env Sci in addition to my courseload for next year (APEL, AP World, AP Phys, AP Stats, Hon Pre-Calc, Band) and I was wondering which websites are the best/reliable/best known Online AP sites.

So far I've seen:

Apex Learning
EPGY (not really AP though, but its Stanford...)
Hawaii's Department of Education E-School (It's new and I don't really know if I should rely on it..)
Keystone National High School

You could try the talent search programs - I know CTY and CTD(Northwestern) have online AP classes. Also, Univ. of Nebraska Idependent High School has AP and has offered distance education for decades. I have no experience with any of these program's classes (except trigonometry-by-mail 20+ years ago through U of Neb.), so I cannot tell you which might be best.

The private schools there are some of the top in the country. Unfortunately my moms a ***** and won't pay for private school. The public schools are some of the worst in the country.

llpitch, what school are you going to attend?

I was going to really argue your point about Hawaii's education (I go to a private school) being terrible. It's sad but it's true, the private schools are among the best in the nation, but the public schools have little funding.

Any good, free, or cheap websites? I would also like to know. Would it appear as a class on my high school transcript? Is Physics B really hard to self-study?
