Whether to declare a major or not

Hi, im a 11th grader in Maryland and my intended major is business economics and statistics. I have many options of where id like to attend, however, id like to attend a top 25 business school. The problem is that ill get accepted in to the university but not the business school. if this is the case, should i just go for it and apply directly into the business school and risk it? Or apply to the school as undeclared and then join business school later. also, if i go undeclared, how soon can i choose the business school?

You should apply to the business school whenever possible. For a top 25 business school, it would be very competitive that there is no guarantee you can get transferred next year.

If you want to be in the b-school then apply to the b-school. Otherwise you could be stuck at a college not being able to study what you want. Internal transfers can be difficult. Note that economics and statistics can probably be studied in the liberal arts college so check online to see where your preferred majors are located at each school you apply to.
