I know this has probably already been asked but I couldn't find it on the forums. I am a business major hoping to specialize in Marketing. Before I transfer to a University I need to take Financial and Managerial Accounting. My question is, which class should I take first? Many people have told me that Financial should be first but I know they are quite different from one another. My brother who is an MBA student at UMich said it should be okay if I took managerial first. What do you guys think?

bump…

Well, at my school Financial Accounting is a prerequisite for Managerial Accounting… soo, lol.

Your brother is full of baloney. If you were to look at UM’s accounting courses you would see that Financial Accounting is a prerequisite for Managerial Accounting. BTW, I have taught Managerial. You need Financial first.
