Which ACT score (neither are good)

Okay so I took the ACT in October and by the end of the test, when I got to the Science and Writing section, I was so tiered that I literally couldn't think. Surprisingly, my score is actually 1 point higher but I think it's only because of an increase in English and Math, yet a huge decrease in Science and Writing. So here is my test score from September:

September: 27
English - 31
Math - 23
Reading - 27
Science - 26
Writing - 11

October: 28
English - 31
Math - 25
Reading - 33
Science - 23 (fml)
Writing - 6 (I didn't even finish, I got to the 3rd paragraph and stopped. I literally could not think after that point.)

So which should I submit?

Send both maybe? 11 essay on a 27 is quite interesting and then a 6 on a 28… You should look at what schools you are applying to and see whether or not they look at the writing. If they do not, send only the 28, if they do, I have no idea what to say.

On the other hand, you may have had a bad day (low stamina, happened to me twice) and you should retake to get an even higher score. I had a similar experience on a test where I was completely burned out midway and received < 25 on the science and then on a better day I received a 34.

If the school looks at Writing, send both scores. If it doesn’t look at Writing, send the October one. If it superscores (you’ll have a 29), send both regardless of whether it looks at Writing or not. If you have time, you might want to retake for an even higher score and try and stabilize your lower scores (Math, Science and Writing) a bit more. Just my opinion.

I think you should send both of them because it shows the colleges the best score you can get on all the subjects, especially if the college superscores tests scores.

send them both, that way they see the highest you got for each section, knowing exactly what you are capable of

I’m going to retake in December, the scores would be ready by the 27th of December. My apps aren’t due until January 1’st and January 10th. I already sent in all my recommendations, transcripts, SAT II scores, and fee waivers. Could I just hold off on submitting the official online app until the 27th of December when I find out my new scores?
