Which ACT to submit - Engineering Major

So S just got his June ACT scores back and he did improve where he wanted to improve but other scores dropped so composite dropped by 1 point. Composite still puts him in as an academic admit but with new engineering holistic review didn’t know if the test date with the better math and science scores should be the one submitted. Schools he is submitting to do not superscore the ACT I believe.

Test #1
31C (29M, 31S, 33E, 30R)

Test #2
30C (31M, 33S, 28M, 27R)

Which to submit? If both are submitted I heard they will use the higher composite score but will they look at the other test and his sub-scores? Overthinking this a bit maybe?

Did you mean 28E for the second test?

It ultimately comes down to if the 2 point improvement in math and science will help more than the 5 point difference in english and 3 points in reading. That’s a tough one but I would go with the second test personally. It’s a shame they don’t superscore.

I was thinking of sending both knowing they may look at both. Yes, 28E. Will probably call an admissions rep to see what they think.
