Which airport is closest to College Park?

How long does it take to get from the airport to College Park?

I wish I would have asked that (or looked it up) before I booked a flight to Dulles, which is the farthest away. Oh well.

BTW, Reagan looks to be the closest, but I don't know if traffic patterns might not make Baltimore a better choice?

Given the unpredictability of Washington area traffic, either BWI or National are reasonable choices for a trip to College Park

college park airport

for those of you who take everything on CC seriously, a778999's response was more of a joke. the CP airport is by no means used for commercial flights :) so don't go trying to look for its airport code or anything.

personally i prefer to fly out of BWI. it's only a half-hour drive (if you have a car) and there are some really cheap long-term parking options nearby. if you don't have a car, reagan national is very easy to get to by metro (but carrying luggage around the metro can be a pain in the ass)

So BWI is one/half hour away. How long does it take to get to Dulles from the campus?

There is a Metro Bus (B30) that runs from BWI to the Greenbelt Mettro station -- transfer there and go to the College Park Metro stop. Cost: $4.35 one way. Time: 45 minutes. Southwest flies into BWI -- cheap flights if you're in their service area.

http://www.wmata.com Go to Trip Planner and type BWI and College Park and your timeframe to get the info.

Dulles: 45 minutes/35 miles away
