Hi everyone,

I'm going to be a sophomore this upcoming year. I would really like to take either AP Human Geography, AP Music Theory, or AP Art History as an elective. Which one should I choose? I've heard that Human Geography is really easy. I've played piano for about 4-5 years and am good at theory, which is why I'm considering AP Music Theory.

Which one would look good to colleges but not be too overwhelming in terms of workload?

Thanks!

I don’t want to seem mean or drive you away from CC (I see this is your first post) because it is really a great resource, but these questions really bug me. So I’d like to kindly direct your attention to this post I made earlier today. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/762043-everyone-asking-schedule-too-hard.html Yes, I realize your question was not asked in the same arrogant spirit as the ones under fire in said post, but the short of it is: you are the only one who knows what is best for you. (not including parents, counselors, etc.) but no one on this board knows your situation. So please, if you really need advice because you want to make the most informed decision possible, then talk to your counselor. And please don’t think everyone on CC is as mean and pushy as I am. Most of them are very nice and helpful.
Oh and don’t worry so much about “what looks good to colleges” take the class that you are most interested in; you will do better and enjoy learning much more.

I loved theory, personally :)
