Which Biology Major Should I Apply Under at UCD?

Next year when I apply to UC Davis, I know I’m going to either apply under a Biological Sciences major or a Microbiology major. My question is which one do I have a higher chance of getting accepted into UC Davis in? I don’t prefer one over the other, so do any of you know if the competition/available spots under one would make it harder to get into UCD than the other?

davis is a campus with many MANY majors. why not take a look at what they have to offer, and not lock yourself into biology at the tender age of 15/16…???

I don’t know which is easier to get into but I just wanted to say I don’t think there is anything wrong with knowing what you are intersted in. Don’t lose sight of that! :)

Hi! I’m currently a Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior major at UCD and I don’t think one biology major should make a difference over the other. I do know more Biological Sciences majors than microbiology major, but I think it’s just because biological sciences is more general and you can specialize within this major. Biology majors take all the same classes during the first two years anyway. Hope this helps!
