Questions with answer explanations though. When I plan on doing writing exercises, I don't want to use the CB tests a lot because they don't provide any answer explanations, and I can see my skills at writing getting better from getting it wrong and seeing WHY. I have Princeton Review and a couple of Barron's books(2400 and How to Prepare for SAT 2007-2008), which one of those is best for practice questions?

hmmm... I would have to say Princeton Review for the best practice tests but Barron's (both of em) for practicing your skills

I just don't want to waste my time on tests that aren't true test material, but I feel that Barron's does get the CR passages down right in terms of test material. I can always look at the explanations for the math questions on the solutions thread(stickied).

i'll be shopping for SAT prep books in january. current considerations are:
1. the blue book
2. barron's 2400
3. PR

anyone has any suggestions? i'm looking more for practise tests that can give me a good gauge of my scores.

I have the blue book and PR, haven't seriously gotten into them yet but I like them from what I've done

Im taking the test in March and (obviously) i have the blue book.
I also have RR, Grubers, and Barrons 2400.
RR = Good strategy -- focusing on this (also good for essay writing)
Grubers = Practice ftw -- havent gotten into it, but looks good
Barrons 2400 = havent touched (i will look at this in Feb, when my scores are in that range)

Good luck.
