Which book to buy?

For ACT prep, I'm buying "The Real ACT Guide"; which book is the best for SAT prep?

The official Collegeboard guide, and probably any other book for techniques. Try barrons or rocket review or grubbers or sth. I personally dont suggest getting Princeton Review or Kaplan. Anything other than those.

Several books are good. BB is a necessity, because of its practice tests. But besides that, I recommend Rocket Review. People say that Grubers is really good for math, though I've never read it. Maximum SAT is also good, although there aren't really any strategies in it.

Just to be sure, is this the one:Amazon.com: How to Prepare for the SAT: 2007-2008 (Barron's How to Prepare for the Sat I (Book Only)): Sharon Weiner Green,Ph.D., Ira K. Wolf: Books

"But besides that, I recommend Rocket Review."

I went to the Rocket Review website and clicked on "The Book", and it displays the 2005 edition; is that the latest one?

I'm pretty sure the latest Rocketreview is the 2006-2007 one. At least thats the one I have, and I just ordered it off of amazon around a month ago.

I also would highly recommend Gruber's, it has helped me a lot for the math section in particular. His "Complete SAT Math Refresher" is around 180 pages long, and explains every math concept that I have seen on the SAT.

Is this the same book as the one on Collegeboard?:Amazon.com: The Official SAT Study Guide: The College Board: Books, or is the one on Collegeboard an updated version?

If I'm not mistaken, there is only one version of the Blue Book

Bluebook, Rocketreview.

blue book and grubers

how come the blue book doesnt come with explanations to the answers?? does anyone know where you can get a separate book with the EXPLANATIONS to the answers???

Testmasters. You can order online.

I would get the online course at collegeboard because it comes with explanations to answers to all of the tests out of the blue book while also providing 6 more practice tests. They have an online essay grading system, but I have heard lots of people saying that it's not very accurate.
